Dragon Breath!

I am on the preop liquid diet for my surgery and have noticed that despite thorough brushing, tongue scraping, and flossing, I could probably incapacitate someone with my bad breath.  I do not have gum disease and have very good oral hygiene.  I am in the dental profession, so this is driving me absolutely nuts!  Please tell me this gets better at some point and if so, when it might improve.

I have not found that it gets much better, I believe it is all a part of Ketosis.  My solution...Breathsavers!  Works wonders!

Thanks, I'll look into the Breathsavers.  I am having surgery the day after tomorrow, any idea how long I'll have to wait to use them?

You can also buy Devrom, which is an internal oral deodorant - fights the keto-breath!

Also be sure you're drinking plenty of  liquids as dehydration makes breath worse.

I am really good at keeping my H20 intake where it should be, so I am going to look into the Devrom.  I am not familiar with it.  Where did you find it?  Is it OTC or RX?

Fairly sure that Devrom is OTC

I personally havn't tried this, but have it saved on my favorites incase I need it after surgery.... I have been reading everyone post hoping to get prepared for surgery, here is a website that has it, not too bad of price. Maybe it will give you more insite to it, maybe it will help...let me know.

The breath gets better once you are a few weeks past surgery and getting a bigger selection if foods. The price of becoming beautiful!
