Travel (plane & cruise) and Pills
I am a cruise junkie....I am taking my first crusie and plane trip post RNY.
How does everyone travel with the pills (vitamins and such)?
On past trips I just took my pill bottles because I always thought if the bag were opened by customs or TSA, the drugs needed to be labeled..but I am not sure where I got that idea from....could just be a holdover from me being a nurse...to take ALL my pill bottles (vitamins and regualr meds)....would require more space than I have.
What does everyone else do? Is it necessary to have the pills in the bottles??
Thanks

in my experience traveling (and i travel a lot for work), the pills bottles are not necessary. You can organize the rest of your pills in those handy daily sorter containers. Some times you may need more than one, but i think it still is more space efficient than the bottles are.
if you have anything that is liquid, gel, paste, powder or injectable keep them in thier container and with the Rx label.
have a great trip and don't forget to travel with snacks becuase sometimes its hard to find protein rich and low fat options.

I have lay out all my vitamins for the day in a pill box I bought on Amazon.

For the cruise I just took, I got 12 of them (I like to make sure I have a few extra days in case something happens) and just filled them up, put them all in a ziplock and carried them in my carry on. No problems.

Not too soon...it is never too soon to take a cruise :)
There are TONS of protein choices on the cruise...you will be fine there. There is yougurt, lots of meats, fish, poultry, cheese, fruits and vegies. They work hard to please and will find something suitable for you.
I am going to bring stuff for before though. We will be in a hotel two days prior and sometimes that can be slim pickens.
