Knotted, Matted Falling out Hair

Even though my hair is very thin I also had the problem of it knotting and matting.  What helped me was something I found at Dollar Tree.  It is a spray detangler made for kids.  I think it is made by Breck and it is in watermelon scent.  I love that stuff.  And only a dollar!

I use Wen from Chaz Dean. You can get it on qvc. It is a cleansing conditioner as shampoo strips your hair of color and volume. It doesn't lather and there is only one step. I have been using it for years and it will detangle your hair easily, it also feeds your hair so it grows stronger and thicker. In the winter I have to help my hair stay blonde and since I began using Wen, I can go almost three months without having to go back and have it redone. It truly is fantastic and your hair will feel clean. Hope this helps.

Gee....I thought it was me until I read this thread.

I have super curly hair (the picture on my avatar was the last time i straightened it). All my hair products are Treseme. Over the past month or so I've noticed a LOT of hair falling out, tangles...my brush I have empty out once a week and it's pretty creepy.

So I've started using a lot of conditioner in the shower, making sure I have a good coverage. Then I don't completely rinse it out (just enough...that I know the brush will make it through without creating a new hair piece). That seems to help with the brushing. Though, it's trial and error. I haven't quite gotten the technique down. But after brushing I use Treseme's leave in conditioner (little bottle with green plunger) and use that on my curls, then let my hair air dry.

I find piles of hair in the shower, on the sink, in my brush, on my clothes. It's like I leave myself everywhere.

EXCEPT my pillows. Haven't quite figured that one out yet.

I'm losing hair too, I'm on my 7th month.  It's always on my shirt and arms.  I tried to wash my hair less, but was told that that is bad.  We actually need to comb our hair as much or more as before to promote a healthy, stimulated scalp.  That old saying brush 100 strokes before bed, isn't a myth, it works by stimulating scalp AND getting the oil from the scalp down to the dry ends.  Good luck, curly hair is the pits, I have it and straighten it as often as I can, but I use all Paul Mitchell products, the new Hawaiian Wild Ginger!!!
