Feeling scared about aging after weight loss surgery
At the ripe old of age of nearly 50, I just hiked a mountain, and I am four years out from surgery. Take that, aging! At least I will live long enough now to age.
Tell her that unless she can personally name these "failures" and introduce you to them, she is talking out of her ass and a real friend would be supportive of your journey, not negative.
As for real failures, they fail because they do not follow the rules and/or eat around their tool. RNY is a tool, not a cure. Follow the rules and ask lots of questions on this board, and you will do fine.
