I had mine 9/20.  I had some "happy nerves" but I knew what I was doing made sense for me.  Afterwards you just truck on and each day brings something new.  And like the others *****cently had the surgery, you stand on the scale and thing whoa!!  REALLY?  I guess I was lucky.  I had like no pain.  Didn't take a thing from day two after surgery.  Never used the meds I had filled. I am down 26 pounds since I first saw the doc on 08/04/11.  Have faith.

I wonder if the person who wote the article researched her surgeon and facility well.  Complications do happen.  We would be irresponsible to ignore them.  However, if you have done your research and are confident in your surgeon and his numbers, I would ignore the article.  Look at all of the wonderful successes you have read about on this forum.  They far out number those that (with all respect) are struggling.  Some of us may stray along the way, but the surgery gives us/you the tool to get back on track if that happens.

I too was afraid I wouldn't be a success, but by adhering to my surgeon's program of protein and exercise, I am on my way.  So, reach down, grab your confidence and join the rest of us over here on the Loser's Bench!  We have a spot reserved just for you!

Rooting for you!
