Want a chuckle at my expense? See my daughter's drawing...
My 4 year old daughter came home from pre-k one day last week with this picture in her backpack. When I asked her why I was so much bigger than everyone else, she very matter-of-factly said, "Because you're fat, Mommy". Ahh...the unfiltered honesty of children.
When I said, "Hey! That's not nice to say," She got really sweet and said, "Aw, but you're getting skinnier!" and gave me a big hug. Gosh I love that kid.
This week she drew another picture and very proudly showed it to me and said, "Look Mommy! I made you skinny this time!" LOL.
I hung the "fat mommy" version on my fridge to keep me on target. ;)
Edited to add:
Crap. The end of the picture is cut off. Sorry. Click on it to see the full version with tall, skinny Daddy.

At my daughter's 5 year check up the doc asked her to draw a picture of her family. I was drawn much larger than everyone else. The pediatrician said it is quite common and is actually a function of the child perceiving us as the most important person in their lives. I prefer that explanation!! :)
Gotta love 'em!
