Stop taking vites before labs?

Hi, I read somewhere that you should stop taking your B12 a week before you have blood drawn so that the test is measuring "stored" B12 instead of "available" B12.  Has anybody else heard this, and does it apply to any other vitamins?

Thanks for your help.

I don't stop taking any of my vitamins before having labs done.  Since I plan to continue taking my vitamins after I get my labs done, I want to know what my  levels are with the vitamins, not without.
