Swelling???
where is the swelling and what casued that?
For any injury - cold - even ice compresses. Othat than that - not so much OTC.

Ice and elevate. But I would hold on until you see the doc. Some issues shall not be treated with ice (i.e. Renault syndrome, or Gout).
