Why does water hurt?

I know this probably sounds crazy, but it hurts when I drink water.  Even if its a small sip.  It just feels really scratchy as it goes down.  I can drink unsweetened almond milk (w/added protein), de-caf coffee, tea, protein shakes, etc, bu****er just plain hurts.  Any idea why?

Its usually at room temp.  It takes me so long to drink it that its fairly warm by the time I'm finished.  LOL

I can't tell you why, just that a lot of people can't drink water after surgery.  I find frequently that plain water upsets my pouch.  I almost always flavor it with something.

Water seems to hurt my pouch also.  It feels so full so quick and makes me kinda queasy.
Wrinkled was not one of the things I wanted to be when I got older.

This also becomes a problem with swallowing pills.  I wasn't allowed to swallow any for 2 months and after that when I could I started on some vitamins that I had to swallow. I found that I had to drink so much water to swallow them, I was kind of nauseated.  I now just take all chewable vitamins.

Any drink I've had lately makes me nauseated and have pressure under my breasts, is this normal?

Mandy, I'm still new at this but it sounds like maybe you are taking in some air or maybe the sips are too large?  At least thats how I feel when I take in air or gulp liquid - it gives me pain and pressure around my sternum area.  Plain water just feels "scratchy" at it goes down.
