Head Cold Help!!!
Other than Tylenol, is there something we can take for head congestion. Is it me, or does it seem at around the 4 to 5 month mark, do all patients end up with a head cold from you know where? My head is so congested that I feel like I'm underwater.
Any help from those that have traveled this road before me would be appreciated. Have a great New Years everyone!

As long as you don't have problems with BP you should be able to take sudafed. I sometimes use afrin at night so I can sleep.

Robitussin is good. Be careful and read the label carefully. There are all kinds of sugars and sugar alcohols hidden in the inactive ingredients.
I've been using Theraflu Night Formula, which is a decongestant and cough suppressant. It has Tylenol and some alcohol, but a very small amount. It was the only thing I found that cleared me enough to sleep when I really needed it.

Not an RNY thing, but I'd never been good with decongestants as they make me kinda loopy. Have you tried a Neti Pot? Basically uses warm saline to run thru your sinuses to clear them out and relieves the pressure wonderfully!!!
