And the hair loss begins....
That's about when it starts. Just make sure you're taking all your vitamins and getting enough protein. Hair loss usually lasts two or three months, then it starts growing back.

LittleWitch,
I'm 6 1/2 months post op and have been able to keep the hair loss to a minimum. I have not experienced the loss of large clumps at once, just a little bit more than usual. (I use wire traps in my shower drain to monitor the hair loss.) Some may say these products don't work but this is what is helping me.
Biotin - I started taking pre-op but stopped since it encouraged my facial hair growth to increase.
Nioxin. - I use the serum and shampoo daily. I started using it approx. 5 weeks post op.
Sugar Free Cold-eze - This contains Zinc. I take two tablets a week and will continue until the hair loss stops. Then I will go down to 1 per week.
Protein - 80 to 120 grams a day. Anyway I can....powder, meat, eggs, Quest bars.
Overall my hair loss has been at a minimum, primarily in the front. I cut my hair really short to help hide the hair loss. My hairdresser says I have new growth so I am hoping the worse has passed.
Good luck.

That sounds like a great combination!
I have been taking the Cold-eze lately just to prevent getting sick. It seems there is a lot of things going around the office lately, so I thought it would help.
Thanks for the ideas! I know I need to increase my protein levels, since I am not even getting in 50 oz a day at this point. (I had major stricture problems early out, and everything has made me sick lately). I have found that I love hot protein drinks, so I have been doing those at night. Hopefully that helps!!
