Health Insurance

Great health since RNY almost 2-1/2 years ago.  I have private health insurance; the premium has increased to almost $500 a month with a high deductible.  I applied for other insurance within my plan, and have been denied because of RNY.  I appealed this decision with doctor documentation from primary care and surgeon, and still denied.

Is there any health care plan that will accept people who have had RNY?  Thank you for any help you can provide.

Can't offer any suggestions, but just so you know- if you get denied for 6months due to RNY the gov will make sure get you health insurance thanks to Obamacare...

I would look into private insurance pools.  Maybe that would help, maybe not.  I work for a small business and we have a high deductible plan, the premium is pretty much what you posted.

Thanks to everyone for answering.  Until I'm 5 years out, forget out getting anything affordable.  Guess I'll have to be stuck with paying the high premiums.  Happy New Year everyone!
