Bleeding

I know when we had a normal digestive system, internal bleeding would show up as tar colored stool. Now that we are missing a lot of that system, if we have internal bleeding in our new digestive tract, will it just show up as red blood in the water (putting it as delicately as I can)? I am on blood thinners due to a mechanical heart valve and had a lot of blood in the water this morning.

Call the doctor right away.

Any blood in the stool should be taken seriously.

I agree, call the doctor!  I have had this problem for a while (and have had a colonscopy so I know what mine is) and it turned out to be a hemorrhoid right at my rectum (thank you childbirth) that when I do not get enough fiber acts up and bleeds.
