Weight gain after surgery

I am not sure how much weight I gained, but I was still 1/2 lb over my surgery weight at my 8 day checkup. The doctor said that was completely normal.

 Thanks everyone!  It's nice to know I am not alone here....I was so discouraged when the scale said an increase of 22 pounds and that was even 3 days of no "eating" what so ever! Just the IV's cuz I "failed" my leak test due to being swollen.  After 24 hours later and 2 diff. sets of xrays did I get the OK to have water.

Thanks again for your answers!  Today I am down 8 pounds out of the 22 I gained! :)
