My weight on October 11, 2011 was an all-time high of 346 lbs. My pants were an elastic waist size 52 and were tight. My daily insulin doses were 90 units of levimir and 120 units of Humalog. My triglycerides, LDL, HDL etc was all out of whack. I had my R&Y was December 6, 2011 and today i reached my 100 pound lost goal. My pictures don't show the extent of my weight loss. The true goal achieved isnt 12 inches off my waist, or 100 pounds lost. The best thing is my diabetes has been resolved and my blood work is normal with NO Medication !!! This can add 15-20 years to my life.

September 2011 346 lbs

February 21, 2012 - 246 pounds.

Your medical record shows serious improvement.  Your medical progress is much better than mine and I was taking 70 u of Lantus..none now,  45 un of Humalog daily and some now but my blood sugar is sometimes up in the 220s.  My  bp is sometimes perfect or on the edge and no meds.

Thanks for posting your numbers, it helps to be able to compare with others.  I don't know how you lost 100 lbs so fast.  That is incredible. Congratulations.

I met with my surgeon in late october and he asked me to lose as much weight as possible before surgery, so i started dieting. On November 22nd i started my 2-week full liquids diet of protein shakes {no solid foods at all}. Two days before surgery i had to switch to clear liquids {broth} only. Then for 1 week post op, it was full liquids {protein shakes and nothing solid}. i lost 40 pounds over the 6 weeks before surgery and have lost 20 pounds each month since. Now i have a protein shake for breakfast, lunch and when I come home from work {to get in my 70 grams of protein and then eat a sensible dinner. If I need a snack, it is 94% fat free kettle corn single serving bag. I have munched more on weekends, but i am excercising {walk 3 miles each afternoon} and have began lifting weights.

How do i get the pics to be visible? i just see the link characters, i dont see the pics?
