Three weeks postop, who's with me
RNY on 03/08/12
For the first two weeks after surgery and I could see the lbs. droppin off. Then last week it stayed at 248 for a day or two, so I decided to wait a week to check again. I understand that losing 22 pounds in three weeks is awesome but in my mind I lost 22 pounds in two weeks and stayed the same weight for the last seven days. I am just a little frustrated, I appreciate the fact that I feel great and have alot of energy without any problems but STILL MAN COME ON, I want to lose some weight as well.

I am guilty of scale obsession too. I actually weigh morning and night (i dont know why) and at first i would see the pounds coming off them the scale was at a stand still and i was getting frustrated. I have learned that even though the pounds are not coming off things are still happening. Taking measurments will give you a true sense of what is going on. I actually am using the same belt from before surgery and even though it is too big for me now..i just keep adding holes then every so often i measure from the hold where i started to the new hole. It helps. I was like you at first i wanted to see the pounds come off but the better reward is the visual and the baggy cloths. and yes 22 pounds in 3 weeks is an awesome amount of weight loss. Be patient and you will see the scale will start moving again. I have days where i get on and i am a pound lighter than the day before and some days i am up a pound or the same .. It does suck not to see the weight change but i am trying to be patient as well.
dont get too frustrated...take measurements and you will see the difference
