Several weeks back, as some may recall, I took a pair of trousers back to a local store of a national chain retailer of  tailored men's clothing. And as you may recall, there was an issue with this chain's "guarantee" of free alterations for the life of the garment...that issue was ultimately resolved and it isn't the subject of this post....

Today, I went to pick up the trousers...yes, they were finished and yes, I tried them on while I was there, just to make sure...

They're still too big.....

I've been in a stall for about three weeks now...in fact, initially had gained a half-pound back but since then, the scale hasn't moved...but girth is still receding....so for now, the stall is bearable...

So, if anyone is in a stall, hating their surgery or think that it isn't working for them...you feel what you feel, but don't ignore the imperical evidence that change is occurring...yes, I would have liked to have lost a lot more weight before my first stall, but it didn't work out that way...just because you (or I) have high expectations and they're not being met doesn't mean that you (or I) are (am) a failure...nor is the surgery...all it means is that it isn't happening the way we want...but it is happening...

I totally agree with you. I loose 6 or 7 lbs and then stall for a few weeks. then down again another 6 or 7 lbs. while I was hoping to be smaller by now, I did fit into a pair of pants I have not been able to wear for two years today. I had a job interview and was stressing. I tried them as a last resort and they fit!!! Made my day!!!

It sounds very promising!!! They are starting the background check, and I have to be ready at the drop of a hat for a drug test at some undisclosed location. lol. But they said if all goes well I could be headed to the academy in two weeks. WOO HOO  (yes law enforcment)  I used to work there and had to leave in 2006 due to a very unruly and BAD teenager that I had to stay home with and escort to school and what not. But now he is grown and out of the house and I can focus back on my career. Im so super excited!!!

Sedona is lovely, but so crowded in the summer. Its a big tourist trap unless you know the special spots. Prescott is nice and I love Jerome. As I child I used to go with my family to the old copper mine/musuem up on the hill overlooking the town. They closed it a few years ago. I love how the streets switchback up the hill and all the people are so friendly. I grew up in Flagstaff. My dad is an artist (watercolor) and he was alway dragging everywhere. I learned all sorts of secret, lovely places. And of course the mapped places. I thought about doing tours or something like that. I took a friend from work with my son and I down to Havasuapi in the Grand Canyon. He was taking pictures for Arizona Highways magazine. He SAID he was an outdoors person. I never met such a whiner and complainer. That ended my wanting to be a guide of any sort. lol.
