How long until pureed stage

Wondering what the typical time from surgery to Pureed is?

It varies widely.  Different surgeons have different post op meal plans.  Some docs have patients eating pureed food in the hospital a day or two after surgery, others have patients on liquids only for two weeks or more before starting pureed foods.  Some don't ever have patients on pureed foods, but go right from liquids to soft foods.

I did full liquids for one week, then pureed for one week, then soft foods.

My surgeon did full liquids for three weeks, then five weeks on soft.

I never blended anything. There was enough on his soft food list so I didn't have to.

i was switched to puree at my first appointment, i think it was a week out. you should be on the same plan i would assume. from there i think it was 3 or 4 weeks until moved to soft foods. i think. even though it wasn't that long ago, i dont' honestly remember the total time frame.

 I was on puree right out of the hospital. I was on it for 4 weeks, then soft food for 3 weeks and now on regular food. Every surgeon seems to have different plans.
