steroid shot

 I had no clue that a steroid shot would make me hungery!!  I thought I had just a summer cold...no luck I have a sinus infection/throat infection/ears infections.  I went to the walk in clinic today after almost a week of feeling like total yuck!!  They gave me a mega does of a steroid shot.  I am starving is that normal after a steroid shot?

Taking steroids can result in increased hunger (so I've heard) but it never made me hungry (pills or shots, had plenty of both)

However, hungry or not, you have control over what goes in your mouth.

I always suggest diced cucumbers for those who are hungry. Fills you up but not many calories.

I get steroid injections in my knees about every 3 months, but have never had them make me hungry (unlike the last time I took the pills for a week several years ago).

I had a severe knee injury and I have to get steroid shots occasionally and man they hurt!

yeah steroids can increase hunger

 The meds/steroid shot are fighting against the benadryl!!  I can't fall alseep!!  Add hunger to that..

I get those shots for my eczema and they make me hungry as well... when I take the pills it's like being on speed!
