Female hormones go nuts post op as you lose wt.  That's likely what's happening here. BUT, my surgeon stresses 2 forms of birth control, NOT to include the standard birth control pills.  Several pateints in the past 8-9 years did not listen and ended up dealing with a pregnancy a few months post op.  Dave

I WISH i had this problem ..I suffer from pcos so I have never had a regular period in my life.  It would skip months..not come..etc..

BUT NOW...omg..Every since I started my preop diet and started losing post op my period comes like clock work.  I can even track it accurately with a period app on my phone.  I was happy about this but now they're so painful and my moods are so crazy during this time. I never experienced this before.

You're not alone; this is pretty common among women who have made significant dietary changes and are losing weight quickly. I didn't have a period for nearly a half-year after I had surgery (which was awesome).

If you've increased exercise significantly, that will also make a difference in the frequency and length.
