I sweat so much since my surgery on 4/30/12.  Does anyone else have this problem since getting their RNY?

Whew, thought maybe I was the only one with sweat running down my whole body even when I do housework. I have never soaked through shirts like I do now.

Early out my thermometer was broken.  I went from sweating to freezing for no reason for a couple of months.  these days, I am more likely to be cold.  The heat doesn't bother me like it used to and I frequently get a sweater if we have the air on inside.

I sweat whenever I go out to a store , and totally feel like I need to get out of there !!!!
I read that iron regulate body temp , wondering if that has anything to do with it.
I don't get out much , but when I do , all I want to do is get home...hope this isn't my new life , although my knees feel better

I can't sweat for the life of me.  I can sit in a 150 degree suana for 45 min and still no sweat.

Kasey,
NOT sweating is so not a good thing , have your thyroid checked.
Have you always been like that or just since surgery?

Just since surgery.   My TSH is normal but my T-3 and T-4 are low but within normal range.  My endro is watching my thyroid.  I am not to sure if I should be treated for thyroid or not.  My endro and my primary don't thinks so.  My natural path and my boyfriend think I should.  I am a bit confused if I should or shouldn't.  I have read that weight loss and low carb diets can cause low t-3 and t-4 so I am wondering if it will change futher out.  I am 9 months out and just reached a normal BMI of 25%.  Any thoughts or knowledge would be appreciated.  I would hate to gain weight back.  Thanks

I've never been someone who sweats much.

I do sweat when I'm dumping or when I have reactive hypoglycemia, but since I almost never sweat that makes those two incidents more alarming to me.

Sweating and night sweats is also a sign of gallbadder disease.  Not that it  is your problem but you might want to google it and see all the symptons.
