so i had surgery July 26 and around the 28-29 i started to get this pain in my left side.. basically where the middle of your left boob if u go down from there to about the middle of your belly area that's where the most pain is.   at first it felt more like a rib cramp. you know when u go to bed over to tie your shoe and you get a cramp in your rib.. that's how it felt... today thought i got it and it lasted for about an hour and it was horrible pain and it was stabbing and it was the middle of the left side down to my hip area and over to my belly button.. if i breath in it hurt more if i moved it hurt more.. if i sipped anything it made it much more worse..

has anyone felt like this post op for a bit?  does it sound normal because its healing.. kinda feels like my insides are being stabbed

It sounds normal to ME , I had the same issues , seems like one place feels fine and the next day it doesn't , I had left side pain less than a week out and it lasted till about 4 weeks ( on pain meds the whole time), I just held my side when I bent over or got out of bed.
If you think it is horrid pain and something is wrong call your surgeons office , but honestly from my experience and from others posting on this site I think it is pretty normal.
Up in the right hand corner is a search bar , type in left side pain and see what you get.
I hope you feel better soon
Am so excited for you that you have been able to have this surgery!!!

I had that horrible pain and it hurt like the dickens when ever I would bend over or sit down. It came on suddenly and then it poofed suddenly after several days. I'd have to say it's all a normal part of healing after surgery. If it persists or get worse I'd check with the Dr. I called mine and they didn't feel it was anything major. Just told me to take tylenol or pain meds if I needed and to go to Urgent care if I felt I needed to go.

Yep, I had that, too.  I was also sore on the left side when I woke up in the morning, and that lasted for several weeks.
