I had surgery 5 months ago...everything has been amazing. I lost almost 40 pounds the first month and have been averaging 20 pounds a month since then...up until August 19......I hit a brick wall!! I haven't dropped a pound in ten days!! I have had a few episodes where I wouldn't lose weight for 4-5 days but never more than that. I am trying to be patient..I am trying to believe it's just the dreaded stall that people talk about...but I am starting to really worry that it's over. I haven't changed anything in quite a while...I still eat right around 800 calories...I still get at least 60 grams of protein. I am active..I go to curves 3 times a week, I ride horses ect...I started at 325 and am now at 214...I want to lose 45 more pounds. Please tell me that this has happened to you and the weight loss started back up again...If not...tell me that too. Could I really be done at 5 months???

I don't think you are DONE. You have all the answers. Just be patient and stay off the scale. 10 days is a partial stall. People have stalled way longer than that. Keep your chin up!!
Today is the first day of the rest of my life!!

11 pounds in 5 months is great. So don't sweat not losing in 10 days. You're body is adjusting. If you're exercising, you'll likely note a change in clothing size without lose pounds recently.  Part of the process.  It took me 6 months to lose 100 pounds after my surgery.  DAVE

You might try upping your calories some. That might kick start things.

Take a deep breath. You're not done, you're just stalled. Unless your NUT advises otherwise, increase your calories a bit and see if that jumps you out of the stall.

No, you could not be done.  It's normal to not lose every day or every week or even every month.  Ten days without losing is not a stall.  It's a stall if it lasts a month or longer.  If a few days without losing stresses you out this much, you  might want to stay off the scale.

Haha I have read enough of what you write to know that you were going to say something just like this!!  :)  I'm trying not to stress about it..and I'm really not stressing...that bad.  I think I just needed to hear that I wasn't done. I just don't want to be done yet!!   Thanks!!
PS..I've tried to stay off the scale..I even had my husband take it to work after surgery...but I am a scale addict.  I weigh every morning..and most times I don't worry if I don't lose for several days.

You do realize you've on average lost 22.2 lbs a month? Who (other then a WLS) patient can say that??  Just remember it takes 3500 calories to burn 1 pd of fat. In retrospect you've burned/not consumed 388,500 calories just to lose the weight you've lost. That's a lot of freaking calories and lbs!

But like the rest have said - you are fine- Keep it up and the scale will eventually reflect this. Stop stressing!
