From NPR: mobile apps to track calories help with weight loss

VSG on 06/12/13

Based on what I have read here, I would say this also holds true for the WLS community:

They ran a study using different forms of health tracking with a group of overweight men. "So who did best? The men who used the mobile app and attended 80 percent of the health education classes"

Accountability coming and going is key, it seems. Lessons I have learned from you all - track track track and don't be afraid to ask for help/stay connected.

Thoughts?

It's probably true. I tracked my food before my surgery and lost over 70 lbs, just counting calories!

When I did it,  Weigh****chers worked great for me. Tracking keeps you accountable. Now I use Myfitnesspal.com and love it!!!
