Headaches

I'm on day 2 of my pre-op diet  & my head is killing me. (Not a liquid diet, it's 2 shakes & a sensible meal.)

In the past if I'm hungry or dieting I get headaches from the lower calories & such. Will I get headaches after surgery with the restricted diet? Just curious.

BTW- Have eaten exactly what I'm supposed to for the last 2 days. Hopefully day 3 will be better. :)

Its normal, your body is going into withdraw from carbs, caffeine, and sugar. The first 3-4 days are the hardest of the diet.  Once your post op the headaches will go away since you dont eat sugars, carbs or have any caffeine.  Take something for the headache, drink more water, chew gum, but most of all drink more water.

Thank you!  I have increased my water & I took something. I just wanted to make sure headaches wouldn't be a daily occurrence.

It gets better after day 3/4.  Hang in there, it is definitely worth it!
