Weight is STALLED!

I am now 2 months post surgery and lost a bunch of weight initially, but have not lost one pound since Christmas!  Very discouraging.  Though my clothes fit differently - even fit into a pair of jeans that I haven't worn in over 4 years!

I do have to admit that I'm probably eating way too many carbs - had a problem with them prior to surgery so I probably STILL have a problem with them.  My body does not metabolize them properly and dumps sugar into my system instead of using them.

QUESTIONS:

  1. How do you handle post op food?
  2. Still use a lot of protein drinks?
  3. How many carbs do you allow yourself?

The surgeon/center I used does not give a lot of support so I'm not sure who to ask these questions to.

Feeling a bit lost and discouraged!

Remember how far you have come.
You may not be where you want to be,
But you neither are you where you used to be

Are you tracking what you eat on something like my fitness pal?

It helps if I can see what I've eaten in black and white, I don't eat anything until I've punched it in and a couple of times I've put down what I was going to eat because the numbers just weren't worth it!

1. I log my food. There are lots of sites to use, but I use Myfitness pal. I eat protein first. And because I have poor decision making skills in the face of bread, rice, and pasta, I don't eat them. The majority of my carb intake is from beans and diary, so I don't worry about them too much.

2. No. I do sometimes, but usually only a protein coffee if I am behind on my eating or a scoop of protein powder in oatmeal so I can eat it without RH.

3. I am generally under 80, but again, they are mostly from dairy and beans.

It's definitely a learning curve, but you can do it.

I fight badgers with spoons.
