About 6 weeks out, what's causing my daily fatigue? Would it be anything other than b12? I'm taking 2500 weekly, maybe I should increase dose. Just wanted to run it by the vets before bugging my doc.
THanks!

Not to ruin your day, but you will feel tired for a couple of months. This WLS takes a lot out of your body. The extreme weightloss and change in eating habits takes your body a good 3 months to catch up. In my experience. I do not think your B12 would be low yet, unless it was low pre-op.. I would just be patient and know your body is going through changes daily and it takes it toll. Be sure you drink plenty of fluids and rest when you can. You will feel strong soon.

I was like that as well.  My doc told me it was expected.  Your body is still healing.  It was until week 8 until I can say I felt normal.  I would also make sure you are getting in your proteins and maybe up them.

Good luck!!  I feel your pain.

This issue is pretty normal for the majority of RNY post ops.  I'd highly suggest you attend 1 or more monthly support groups--these groups offer a wealth of info so you can better understand post op issues.  Fatigue, diarrhea, constipation, trouble with getting enough fluids, finding good protein sources, the importance of regular lab tests, etc. are discussed on a routine basis at most of these meetings.  DAVE

Also, when you have your labs drawn, make sure they test your iron levels.  I was beyond tired for a few months after my surgery, and my labs showed that my iron was very low.  A prescription iron supplement has done the trick for me.  Best of luck!

I'm almost 6 weeks out also and was so tired.  Even have a hard time showering in the morning, just want to sit down.

How's your blood pressure?  Mine has been fine, on medication.  Started also getting lightheaded with the extreme fatigue.  Went to the doctor today, pressure (usually 120/80) was 80/52!  Needless to say, she's listening to me now when I tell her my surgeon said I could probably get off these meds.
