breast cancer drug and weight gain??
I had RNY almost 5 years ago. Diagnosed with breast cancer last May. Had 2 surgeries and 7 week course of radiation, I am taking anesterzole (for the next 5 years). I have gained almost 10 pounds and am not too happy. Side effect of the drug is weight gain. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced a similar situation, Thank you.
The facilitator of my in-person support group had breast cancer & takes a med that contains a steroid which had caused her to stop losing weight and regain a bit, though she had the lap-band. So you're not alone but what she's told us over and over again is that being cancer-free is way more of an accomplishment than the weight

thank you (I'm sorry, I don't know your name) for the encouraging words. I made an appt with the dietician, hopefully she can give me some advice. I'm just a little discouraged. I worked so hard to lose the weight. yes, cancer-free is the most important!! Stella
