Sore throat/sinus pre-op!!

I have a horrible sore throat & nasal drip.
Surgery in 8 days and I just started taking DayQuil and Zimac. I am also calling my pcp tomorrow morning for a z-pac as I would not want surgery re-scheduled.

Is it ok to take these meds pre-op?

I would call your bariatric doc tomorrow as well, just to let him know what your pcp prescribed you. Good luck on your feeling better and surgery!

I was on an antibiotic for a sinus infection, and I was fine

I was sick with a head cold up to and several days after my RNY and although not fun, I managed just fine. Sip warm liquids post-op to help with any nasal drainage. Sneezing and blowing my nose just about split me open, LOL, but seriously, all was ok in the end. Good luck!
