Had Surgery Feb 18

I had ny RNY on Feb 18th..I had to be at hosp 5"30 am. Surgery was at 8:15. When i awoke in recovery..I had a nurse sitting by my bedside. Pain felt like a stomach ache, not bad. She gave me pain meds until i did not feel any pain. i was in hosp 3 days. I am doing well getting in all liquids I can. Sugar free pops have been a great help.

As of today..just a little sore on left side.I have liquid pain med and liquid nausea meds if needed. I am thankful God brought me through my surgery. The journey continues.

 

wow you are lucky, when i woke up i thought i was having a heart attack the gas pain was awful. I was screaming in my sleep my mother said that when  the nurse said if i walked the gas would get better I was trying to walk  before i was completely awake that it took 3 people to help me walk around

Welcome to the loser's bench! I had my surgery the same day. It went great, except I had alot of nausea from being put under. It lasted a few days, but after that I have felt great. Just remember sip,sip,sip and keep walking. It has been an amazing journey already and it's only been 8 days!
