UTI--meds??

I have a bladder infection and completely forgot to call my surgeon today to ask what meds are ok for that? I would normally take macrobid in capsule form. I already take a capsule about the same size with no problem per my surgeon. It's not the form or size I'm worried about, it's the med, is it safe for my new tummy? I'm 4 1/2 months out & have no real issues...any feedback is nice, I know we aren't drs, just wondered of anyone else may have had the same meds?? Thanks!!!
