Dulcolax tablets

I'm 23 days post op. I haven't had a bowel movement in 5 days. Can I take dulcolax tablets?

I would think so,  I just pierced a dulcolax gel cap and squeezed the contents onto a spoon.....super nasty but it was what I had available.  Miralax is effective also.  Be sure to drink lots a fluid to help get things moving.  Good luck

That is what my surgeon advised us to take. I had the little Dulcolax liquid gels and they went down fine....  5 days should be your limit, you need to take something.  The constipation does get better as you move thru the food stages. It was a real problem for me the first 3 months too.
