Hey all! Still away on vacation, but thought I would check in to get some advice on seafood. I am in Myrtle Beach, SC for one more day before going back to North Carolina. For our last day, my boyfriend and I would like to go have some fresh seafood. What would you suggest I have? I am 7 weeks out, cleared for normal foods and have gotten over my two week rough patch of nothing staying down (yay!). I know everyone is different but I welcome all input.

Thank you

Try some shrimp--not breaded. Most people do well with it. Scallops and crab are good choices too. Enjoy.

I fight badgers with spoons.

I'm having better luck with shrimp and scallops than most fish. A white fish like haddock may be easier to eat than a dense fish like salmon.

I really know NOTHING about fish, but I never heard salmon be considered a dense fi**** seems so light to me.

Salmon is harder to chew down to nothing than a white fish like Haddock or flounder. I didn't believe it either, until I tried it.

Salmon has a more meat-like consistency, it flakes but in much larger pieces. I'm guessing tuna and shark might be the same.  I LOVE salmon and am having a harder time with it than haddock or cod. :( Hopefuly it will pass as time goes on!!

Make sure whatever you get that he gets something different. That way if you take a bite of yours and you can tell it's not going to settle well you can try his!

This was a great suggestion! I ended up getting Mussles and he got shrimp. Both went down without a problem and were delicious!

Im 6 weeks out and went out to eat the other Night at a Mexican Resturaunt. I just asked for a side of grilled shrimp, it was delicious and i didnt have any problems with it. Im sure boiled shrimp at a Seafood place would be fine, maybe instead of dipping it in butter ask for some extra lemons to squeeze on it.
