Hair hurts

My scalp hurts... Is this a sign of vitamin deficiency or something that has nothing to do with the surgery. 4 months out last week and hair loss started about 4 weeks ago.

I have had about 2 months of hair loss and think that my scalp has hurt, or at least been more sensitive.  Don't know if it has anything to do with the hair loss?  I know when a relative of mine was losing hair d/t chemo, she complained of the same scalp pain.
