Feels like eating gravel & stomach question

A lot of times if I haven't eaten in a while, like at breakfast or a late dinner, my pouch just feels like I'm eating jagged food that's stabbing and grinding around in there.  Why is this?  It's only when I haven't eaten in a while and its with food I've eaten a hundred times before so I know I tolerate it well.

Also this might seem silly, but I don't know how my stomach works now.  Does it still churn like it did but on a smaller scale?  Or is that completely dependent on chewing now?  I know chewing is important because it can get stuck but I wasn't sure exactly what my pouch does to the food once it gets down. :)

We don't really have stomach acid anymore so I know chewing well and small bites are important. I don't really know the full answer, but it is the same for me. I am about 7 weeks out and since the beginning trying to eat when i wake up (so hours after my last meal) just does not sit well with me. doesnt matter what i eat, it makes me full like I have a stone sitting in there. The one thing I have found to help is drinking hot tea. Its almost like a "warm up" for my pouch, like how you stretch before a work out.
