corn on the cob

It is the season for delicious corn on the cob.  I'm wondering if this is something I will be able to enjoy in moderation again?  How long did you wait to try it?  I'm thinking I will have to wait till next summer because I will be 4 weeks post op Monday.

My husband will be a year out in Oct. we have always been huge cotc eaters, but even now, he dies not tolerate it at all. One bite, no matter how well chewed, has him in pain, so he dies not even try any longer. Every pouch s different, but I will tell you that his experience is causing me (not quite 3 months) to never even want to try it!

Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!

I'm thinking just like some fruits with peels or membranes aren't tolerated well, corn has a membrane as well.  I really hope I can eat it next year.  I will have to remember to ask my NUT about it.

It's something you should be able to enjoy often.  You really can't go wrong with fresh fruit and vegetables.  :)

ETA - At 4 weeks you probably shouldn't.  Next year!

I wouldn't try it at four weeks out.  But it's something I eat often now.

I just had some for the first time a few weeks ago, and I am 7+ months out.  It was yummy and I tolerated it well.  I only ate about 1/5 of a regular size cob.

I would probably say next year...  and everyone is different, but I tolerate it very well.  My issue is with fatty foods.. don't tolerate them so well....... lol

I'd wait until I was a  couple of months out, but I eat corn fairly frequently now. It doesn't bother me at all.

I tolerate it just fine now but for the first year I avoided it because it was not part of my protein-forward, low-carb dietary plan.  When I did first eat it around a year out, it made Pouchy upset but like I said, now I do just fine with it.
