Pre op optifast question

Is it normal to get explosive diarrhoea from optifast shakes? This is my fourth day on my pre op diet. A liquid defacation so forceful you have to hold onto the toilet seat to avoid liftoff. Condition usually re-occurs within 30 seconds of leaving the bathroom.

Yes and I had that for about 4 weeks, 2 pre op and 2 post op. Good Luck

No. You may be allergic to something in the shakes. Possible lactose intolerance.

I am on day three of pre op diet. I don't use optifast shakes however I have the same issue. Let me know if you figure it out.

i had the opposite effect. I was pretty much constipated the whole time ...I had to add a lot of fibre to them.

Seems to have settled now. Yay. I guess my body was just shocked, lol.
