I am 18 days out of surgery and am curious what everyone's calorie intake is the weeks after surgery. I have been on various websites and they all differ.

I am 17 days out and I track my food intake on myfitnesspal. I range from 400-600 calories a day, but my NUT would like to see me closer to 1000 calories a day. I eat 3 meals and 1-2 snacks, but really have no hunger. I jus****ch the time and eat when I need to.

I was at around 500 a day, but didn't count them really even though I use my fitness pal. My centre asked me to increase to around 600-800 after my three months. 1000 at 7 weeks? I couldn't have done that. indecision

I'm 17 days out (2 weeks) and I set my MFP to 1,000 calories a day. I usually take in less, but I put it to 1,000. I will probably take in closer to 1,000 now that I can eat real food....of course, not sure how much closer to that limit since I can only eat 2 to 3 bites of anyting lol.

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way.  Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!

And right after I was thrilled when I was getting 60g of protein and 320 calories in...that was over a month, easily!

I think if I ate any more than I am, which is about 450-500 calories, I would have to be grazing all day, or overfilling my pouch. (ouch)!

My surgeon said to aim for 400-600 calories and 40-60 grams of protein in the puree' phase.  Today is my day 23, and I am starting mushy regular food, but there is no guidance on calories for this phase in our handbook. I assume it's still 400-600.

Plus, I've hit the 3-week slow-down/plateau/gain, and I'm afraid to eat any more!!!

What does your surgeon/clinic recommend?
