I went to the store yesterday and found some Swiss Miss hot chocolate but not sure which i can have after surgery.
One says No sugar added and the other says Diet
Which one do you use post op? anyone have any suggestions.
I made the mistake of buying the no sugar added. Although it tasted good, it made me feel kinda yucky. It has too many carbs and sugar in it anyways for us to drink(at least I think so) It has 10g of carbs and 7g or sugar it in. I'd ask your surgeon what he/she suggest but my opinion is that i'd stay away from that one until you are more out.
Wow! Just wanted to say that you have done an awesome job! I can't click on your recipe but I use:
1 tbsp. hershey cocoa unsweetend
1/4 tsp imitation vanilla
2 sweet and low and 1 natrasweet
3/4 cup water and 1/4 milk
Don't have to use that much sweet and low (fake sugar) just like mine sweet
I am so hooked on it. By the way I am a year out and down to 95lbs. Started at 176. My doctors were getting a little concerned because I was losing too much weight got down to 90 lbs. Really working hard (eating like crazy) LOL to gain weight. However, i feel great! Everyone's chocolate recipe does sound good. I did drink swiss miss diet all the time but it got way to expensive!!
