Surgery Tomorrow

My RNY is scheduled for 7:30am tomorrow morning. These past two weeks on liquids I have lost 11.8. I bought liquid tylenol in preparation then realized it has high fructose corn syrup in it. Can this cause dumping?

Congratulations Patti! I pray the Lord brings you through the surgery without complications. I know your excited as I will be next week. Keep us posted on how you do. Not sure about the tylenol I'm in the same boat as you. God bless.

Wishing you all the best. Keep us informed on your recovery progress. You will likely be on pain meds until you can take pills, at least this is what happened with me, then I went right to either crushing or taking Tylenol.

High fructose corn syrup is sugar so yeah, it could cause dumping. I don't know how much is in one dose of liquid Tylenol, though. I just took regular Tylenol in pill form after my surgery. I didn't have any trouble swallowing pills.

My plan had me fill a scrip for pain meds before the surgery. I did not need to take any. I would not take anything with sugar in it. Dumping or otherwise.

Morning is good. The Dr and crew will be fresh.
