My Surgiversary

It's been five years (yesterday) since I had my life saving surgery!  I am the same size that was at my lowest and am enjoying great health and love life!  I would recommend gastric bypass to anyone with a weight problem/health problem.  This surgery does not come without problems...i.e. I still cannot eat sugar and get the dumping symptoms if I do.  I developed an additional to alcohol when I couldn't eat.  I have since stopped drinking completely.

This is not a 'quick fix'.  It is a 'get your mind straight' fix and without this, you will fail.  Just do not want to 'sugar' coat it (pardon the pun).  After approximately one year, you will be able to eat anything you want so stick with the program.

Congratulations on your success.  That's just terrific!
