So today at work one of my incisions was hurting pretty bad. None of them have hurt for weeks. When I got home I see that it is all swollen around the incision and sticking out. Seems a little warm as well. Hurts when it is touched or when I bend over. Is this a hernia?

For sure it's a reason to contact your doctor

I don't know if it's a hernia -- and if you are worried, you should definitely call your doctor.  They are paid the big bucks to answer questions like this.

However, I will say that I had some incisional pain when I returned to work.  I used ice and tylenol to get it under control.  It wasn't a hernia for me, but again, I am not a doctor, nor can I know what you have --

I have spoken to the surgeon and he thinks I may have developed an infection. He has me coming in to see him in theorning to look at it and see if he needs to drain it.

Glad you had it checked on!  I hope they get it cleared up quickly for you.  A change in redness, or an incision feeling hot is usually a red flag that something needs to be checked by a professional.
