Over Researching?
I have been in the process for about a month now, and am on this forum all the time, watching all the youtube videos I can get my hands on, reading every other forum out there. I stupidly got myself onto the Complications board last week and was super anxious/emotional all weekend.
Do you think I can over research?
I'm a big believer in research, but don't let it drive you nuts. There is a lot more negative information out there than positive, just because people tend to wite about bad experiences more often than good.

This is an area that can definitely be over researched.
I research things to death, but I had to stay off the boards until after I had surgery.
I watched a video of my surgeon performing the surgery and was quite impressed, but it was sort of surreal thinking that was going to be happening to me soon.
Yes, bad stuff can happen, but they do the best they can to minimize it, so the rest is completely unpredictable. If your surgeon thought you were going to have complications, they would not do it.
I am in the same boat as you. I only have 1-3 more nutrition visits until I am scheduled for surgery and I have been doing non-stop research. I want to know everything, and I really don't think that you can over research. It's a huge life change, one that I'm not taking lightly. I want to know the good and the bad and every complication possible. With every complication story there is tons of success stories. I will keep on researching, even though I know that I know I won't change my mind about getting my bypass done.
