10 mos post op appointment = SUCCESS
Went in for my 10 month (had to reschedule 9 month appointment last month) appointment this morning. Went great! At almost 10 months out I've lost over 75% of my excess body weight. My surgeon said that he deems the surgery a success when patients have lost between 70 & 80% by one year post op. My goal is still to get to a "normal BMI" which is 21 pounds away, but I also plan on having some plastic surgery, so that will take 10-15 pounds of skin...so I feel like I'm pretty close to where I need to be. Dr K said that at the rate I have been going and how well I'm doing and with all the physical activity I do, he doesn't see that it'll be a problem to get to that 24.9 BMI before plastics (which I can't really get to for awhile anyway). So...I feel pretty awesome today! For whatever reason this thing is not letting me post pictures...so I guess check them out on my profile...???
