smelly gas

I am one year out and my family is ready to put me out in the dog house.  Any suggestions i find myself not eating especially if i know i will be around people later in the day. Anyone else with any suggestions.  I read some old post and something was mentioned about devrom pills can they be bought at a local store. Thanks for any input

It's usually specific foods that cause the problem. Try eliminating things to find the source. Sugar alcohols are the worst, and simple carbs are often the culprit.

I'm 10 months out and have the same problem. It's probably my Quest bars.

I'm on my phone, so I can't copy and paste the thread. Check out the men's forum. I have the same issue and got some very good suggestions. It's not gone, but much improved for me. 

I had a big improvement when I quit using chewable vitamins and went to regular pills.  The chewables that they sell for bariatric patients are full of sugar alcohols.

Devrom is a fecal deodorant and is sold online.  You can probably use Beano, also, but I didn't find that to be so effective as the Devrom.

Chew 3 or 4 of the banana-flavored pills, no more stinky gas.

Also, cut all sugar alcohols;  anything in the ingredients ending with "OL" such as malitol, sorbitol, etc.
