Late Night SNACKING!

Yikes. I've gotten into the habit of always munching on something late at night. I am staying within my calories/fats/carbs goal and eating things high in protein like a shake or a cheese stick or a SF popsicle... But is it harmful to eat later in the night? I'd say I eat maybe 30% of my protein after dinner time. I've read that as long as it's not carb-heavy that's okay. Thoughts?

Timing doesn't matter. If you are under your calorie goal, it would not matter if you stopped eating sooner.

I have LNS every night. Sometimes I know I need the extra proteins. And in most cases - I really need that meal- snack before bed to maintain stable Blood sugars during the night.

If you still loading or on maintenance and not gaining - no issues.  Do what feels right.

I deal with RH and hypoglycemia.  If I don't have LNS - I masy wake up in as middle of the night with very low blood sugar... Not only is thast dangerous, but it also disturb my asleep for a few hours.

I eat one every night. Usually 1.5 oz chicken breast/or left over protein from dinner.

Why would it be harmful?

Most nights I have a small piece of thin toast and peanut butter.  It helps me get to sleep.
