Patients typically would start off on 500 the week before discharge from inpatient and then usually to 250 mg. I have known folks to keep a script for years into recovery but only take it if they knew a stressful time was ahead.  The typical recommendation I am familiar with is for 1-2 years. I always encouraged at least a 6 month commitment.

not sure what questions you have but most importantly is that it should not be taken by anyone with liver issues and enzymes should be taken regularly. Some people are very sensitive and would react to cologne while others would end up drinking on it with minimal consequences.  I have often thought the risk of  " dumping is similar to Antabuse.
