Old stomach fusing to pouch

My sister's old stomach has fused to her pouch and we are told is working again. She had RNY in 2001 - and then in 2012 had band over bypass. The band has now eroded into her pouch so she had to have it removed. Found out then about the old stomach fusing to the pouch. Anyone else have this happen?

It does happen. Use the search feature and enter the term fistula and im sure you'll see lots of other experiences.
