Always cold
i am almost 8 months out from surgery and now that the weather is changing I get cold quite easily. I know this is common, but I noticed especially when I am at the grocery store my hands get so cold that my fingers start hurting..like my index finger. Anyone have this problem?
I just wonder how I will cope this winter, being cold all the time and of course my room at work is the coldest..I am already wearing like 4 layers of clothes and long knee socks..lol
I had VSG, but I have this issue too. 115 pounds ago, I didn't even own gloves. Now I feel like I need to wear them even when it's as warm as 50 outside! SHEESH. I've turned into such a temperature wimp :P
I've invested in fleece leggings and some "cold gear" from Under Armour.

I've been having the same thoughts! "If I'm this cold now, I'll be screwed when December comes along!"

Me too..I just hope this winter isn't as bad as last winter..I think we got like 85 inches of snow! Most in Ohio I believe...oh and we had like 23 days below freezing..thanks polar vortex! Lol
Me too. Ever since I lost as much insulation as I have, I too have been cold. It could also be that I am going through the seasonal change body adjustment period but I must say I too am curious how I'll manage Chicago winters if this isn't just a phase. Lucky I get blood work done next week in case this in fact is related to low iron.
I am 10+ years out from surgery, and I still have trouble regulating my temperature. My hands and feet always get cold first, and they remain so cold in winter that my bones ache. I've had every test/therapy known to man, including Doppler Ultrasound, blood tests, chiropractic care, etc. and all results are normal. Over the years, I've learned preparation/prevention is only way to lessen the impact. I wear extra pairs of socks, adjust car air vents away from the steering wheel in the summer and point them towards me in the winter, sleep with my hands under the covers or a pillow, sit on my hands before I head outside or come back inside, wear a hat & gloves, run my hands under warm water when they start to hurt, open and close my fists to produce muscle heat, use pocket warmers, etc.
