Bloodwork....
Different doctors do different tests. I would expect a CBC, CMP, Lipid profile, Vitamin D (25 hydroxy), A, E, thiamine, folate, B6, B12, copper, zinc, selenium, serum iron, ferritin, pre-albumin, PTH at a minimum. But not all docs routinely order those things, unless you ask for them.

If you didn't have a baseline bone scan pre op, then yeah, you should have one now. What the ASMBS currently recommends, I think, is one pre op and then every couple years post op. But if you didn't do one yet, do it now. And then every couple years, depending on the results.
